There is hardly anyone who has never heard of one of the most majestic ships ever built by man - the Titanic. This huge liner was remembered not only for its size, luxury, which was present in the smallest details of its interior, but also for one of the most terrible disasters, in which it was destined to become a direct participant. Attempts have been made several times to recreate such a ship, only a few of which have been successful.
So, an exact copy of the "Titanic", which was built by order of the Australian rich man Steve Palmer, could go on a cruise this year. But due to incomprehensible circumstances, the premiere was postponed to 2018, and today tourists and ordinary admirers of the famous ship are offered to look on its deck virtually. You can see the interiors of the ship at a unique photo exhibition.
Judging by the available images, the interior of the liner and the location of its main components almost completely recreate the atmosphere that existed on the sunken ship. For example, the large staircase that leads to the deck with Turkish baths, as well as the radio room have been recreated to the smallest detail. In all other respects, the ship will meet modern safety requirements.
According to available information, "Titanic-2" is 270 meters long and reaches 53 meters in height. On the deck of the ship there are 840 guest cabins, which can simultaneously accommodate almost 2.5 thousand passengers. To service the liner, a crew of 900 people is required.
A great gift was also prepared for the guests of Milan. One of the most famous and unique works by the magnificent da Vinci - the fresco "The Last Supper" will now become even more accessible to all visitors to the Church of Santa Maria della Grazie. In order to admit a larger number of tourists, it was decided to install a modern system in the room, which will create the necessary microclimate inside the cathedral.
Let us remind you that today no more than 30 people can admire the fresco at the same time, and the time of stay is limited to 15 minutes. According to the persons responsible for the preservation of the work, the prolonged presence of people in the room affects the internal climate, which, in turn, threatens the preservation of the fresco. Realizing this, the Italian Ministry of Culture decided to allocate a million euros for the modernization of the existing climate system. As a result, tourists will be able to stay with the work longer.
But in New Zealand, the government decided to introduce a mandatory fee for foreign tourists visiting the country's national parks. As stated in the environmental department, it is time to think about the preservation of nature in its original form, which is experiencing a considerable burden due to the increased influx of tourists.
The proceeds are planned to be spent on the protection and recreation of natural landscapes, as well as on the development of infrastructure, removal and disposal of waste. According to the head of the Department of Nature Conservation W. Parker, the authorities annually spend thousands of dollars on garbage disposal, which remains from tourists. From now on, these financial burdens will be shifted onto the shoulders of tourists.
According to official information, tourism in New Zealand has become the most profitable destination in recent years, and the flow of tourists has increased several times. So, in 2015, more than 3 million tourists visited the country, and the treasury was replenished immediately by $ 13.5 billion.
